Every way this business makes money.
And what each one pays.

  • SourcedRates come from the platform's own terms page, with a pull date
  • UnboughtNo paid placements, no paid rankings, ever
  • CurrentRepublished the week the terms move
  • Readable anywhereNSFW topics, SFW pages — safe on any screen

A free publication mapping the nine income streams open to NSFW creators — the cut, the payout lag, the hours, the real ceiling on each. Written for gay men and women weighing up what to run, by people who'd rather show you the arithmetic than sell you a dream.

The Creator Income Map

Nine ways this business actually pays. What each one takes, how long it sits before it reaches you, what it costs you in hours, and how high it goes. Fees are a column here — not the whole story.

Read the cellsA cell with a figure links the document it came from and the date we read it. A cell still marked unsourced has not been read yet — we would rather show you the hole than fill it with someone's screenshot.

The anchor

Fees are a column,
not the story.

Knowing a platform takes a fifth of your money tells you what you lose. It doesn't tell you what to run. So the cut sits inside the map as one number among six — and the calculator does the arithmetic so you never have to trust someone's screenshot.

Demand ordering is ours, from search and marketplace listing volume. It is a read on the market, not a promise about your account — and we say so on every card rather than in a footnote nobody opens.

How we earn money

Plainly, because you're about to trust our numbers with your income. If any of this reads badly to you, that's useful information about us — not something we'd rather you missed.

  1. Some platform links pay us if you sign upA referral commission, paid by the platform, never added to your side. Those links are marked in the text, not buried in a nav.
  2. It never buys a position, a score, or a kind reviewOrder in the map comes from the numbers in the map. A platform with a worse take-rate ranks worse even when it pays us more — and a platform that pays us nothing still gets a row.
  3. No readable terms page, no rate, no linkIf a platform won't publish what it keeps, we won't guess on its behalf, and we won't send you there for money.
  4. We don't sell a course, a coaching call, or a template packNothing on this site depends on you believing the ceiling is higher than it is. That's the point of publishing the arithmetic instead of the dream.

Subonomics participates in affiliate programmes and may earn a commission when you sign up to a platform through our links, at no extra cost to you. Disclosure required by the FTC, and we'd say it anyway.
